Characterization of a titanium precursor salt and a study of some the processing steps to extract titanium" is a detailed study of a fluoro-titanium complex and the thermal processes to convert it to pure titanium powder. It is over half a century since the introduction and commercialization of the Kroll process, yet there is still not a commercially viable option to extract titanium. The study detailed in this book presents a potentially viable route to produce titanium and titanium alloys in powder form. However, it does not discuss the production of the titanium precursor, as that is standard material. The focus is on how to process the precursor to titanium and a number of its alloys.

His interests lie in cutting research on light alloys, particularly titanium. While this book is about a novel method of extracting titanium, his main focus is on the physical metallurgy of titanium.
