Chromosomal and Developmental Disorder in Pedodontics

Some genetic disorders can cause abnormalities in the teeth and cranio-facial region. It may cause the teeth abnormalities in children or in adults. It may affect the physical appearance of teeth, the rate of tooth development etc. In many cases these disorders impact the normal growth and development of health of other parts of the body. Many genetic oro facial deformities are associated to inherited defects or result from spontaneous genetic mutation.
