Chronicles with Design

'Chronicles with Design' aims to report places, projects, themes and conjunctures that happen in the reality of a Design Academy in the North of Portugal. In a 10-year interval, the chronicles present themselves with a deformed and distinct nature. This disparity of the narrative helps to understand the dynamics that surround and transcend the profession of design teacher - which includes the work of researcher and project professional. The purposeful disharmony of the writing mirrors the ongoing debate and development of the design discipline.

Ermanno APARO & Liliana SOARES are Professors at the Polytechnic of Viana do Castelo. PhD and Researchers at the Centre for Research in Architecture, Urbanism and Design (University of Lisbon). They collaborate in scientific journals and events and supervise master's/doctoral theses. They are authors of the book 'Sei progetti in cerca d'autore'.
