Classification of the implementation of collective security

The UN observer has come to note that the legal system of collective security is applied both on the fringes of the Charter and in accordance with the provisions of the Charter. It therefore seemed appropriate to attempt to classify the implementation of collective security according to the Charter system. The aim is to show that, although collective security under the auspices of the UN is subject to the constraints of state sovereignty and the logic of hegemony, effective applications of the Charter have been observed, even if some adaptations have been necessary to circumvent the blocking power of the permanent members of the Security Council.
