He undertook his qualifying law degree and other legal qualifications at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. He has general expertise in environmental and public law and policy, and particular expertise in climate and energy law and policy. He has been involved in an advisory capacity with a broad range of environmental and other actors, including NGOs, representatives in the UK's devolved governments, and others.
