Climate Change and Adaptation in Char Ecosystem

This book studies about the char (island) ecosystem and natural resource management under changing climatic condition in northern Bangladesh. Char (Island)is a more vulnerable place due to the impact of climate change. Flood, river bank erosion and other natural hazards are very common in the Char. Char dwellers highly depend on natural resources to lead their livelihood. During natural calamities they follow different strategies to manage their natural resources. This book describes their land, livestock, energy and seasonal crops management in different conditions.

Mr. Reza Habib (b. 20th July, 1988) is presently a M.Phil student in Department of Anthropology, University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He Passed his Graduation and Post graduation in Anthropology from University of Dhaka. Climate Change and Adaptation, Disaster Management and Environment are his Special Field of Research Interest.
