Climate change and Host Plant Resistance in Pigeonpea

Pigeonpea is the backbone or lifeline for the people who lived in Semi-Arid Tropics (SAT). Its production is not increasing even after using latest technologies due to overwhelming of more than 200 species of insects have been accounted on it. The climate change or global warming is responsible for increasing the pod borer complex incidence in pigeonpea. Hence, there is need to study of the effect of climate change on the incidence of pod borer complex along with the host plant resistance mechanisms.
