Climatic Aspects of Spaces

Up to now the studies that had been about Cyprus vernacular architecture were mostly based on typological methods. On the other hand in this book a parametric study method is used to study the spaces in Cypriot vernacular architecture and analyse their relationship with climate. In vernacular architecture some spaces have more relations with climate than the others. This book aims to focus on those spaces, which control climate such as oriel cumba , balcony, courtyard, veranda, entrance hall and pergola under. The variations of the building parameters and the reasons for those variations in relation with climate are the main focus of the book.
