Details

Tuberculosis remains a major problem in public health. Although the advancement in science and technology has catapulted development of new diagnostic techniques, efforts to effectively control and manage this disease has been significantly limited by lack of point of care. The search for a method which uses samples that are easy to obtain in addition to what can help in detecting extra pulmonary TB is still far from over. Although many books have been written, a few have attempted to cover the clinical manifestations and evaluation of Tuberculosis. This is the only single source that have covered clinical manifestations and evaluation of Tuberculosis. This review of Tuberculosis is intended for medical and graduate students studying in Kenya as well as other parts of Africa.
