Clocks in Action
Details
The temporal organisation of our behaviour and physiology has been studied for decades in laboratory condition. The research reported in this book aims at translating results obtained under those highly controlled conditions into real life situations. Potential applications range from optimisation of office settings, improvement of work time management and shift work schedules, as well as enhancement of research designs. The results may be a starting point to not only treat the symptoms of living in a 24h society, but to embed human (chrono)biology into the considerations of work time management. The experiments described in this book were conducted during Céline Vetter's PhD studies at the Institute of Medical Psychology, LMU, Munich, Germany.
