Cloning & Expression of Salmonella Virulence Factors in E.coli

Salmonella is one the pathogens which is known to cause a wide array of diseases throughout the globe especially Enteric fever (Typhoid).It is an important interest of the research fraternity to decipher the actual mechanism of Salmonella pathogenesis and to develop suitable therapeutics as well as vaccines for the disease.The book briefs about the molecular mechanisms of Salmonella pathogenesis. This book report deals with the methodology to effectively clone and express Salmonella pathogenecity Island (SPI)genes into a suitable host.

The author obtained Masters Degree in Science (Biotechnology) from Hislop School of Biotechnology,Nagpur,India in 2012. At present he is a research student at Prof. Dipshikha Chakravortty's lab at the Indian Institute of Science,Bangalore,India. His research interests focus mainly on the molecular mechanisms of Salmonella pathogenesis.
