Club Bordeaux

Club Bordeaux is a genuine love poem collection about a private book club which two young lovers from Bordeaux think of, and later on expand into a bakery/painting/book club. It is a journey of narrative-style untitled poems about finding or rather enabling your voice in love through your life skills, your knowledge of the world, your habits, and your profession. It promotes giving in to love and encourages giving love your all. This collection is greatly thematic, consisting of three chapters: 1) bakery, 2) painting, and 3) book.

What makes Club Bordeaux special is the way it establishes a deep touching emotional connection with the reader. All poems in this collection have deep layered meanings alongside the surface structures. It is greatly thematic and every single poem is interlinked with the previous and following poems.

Amir Shojaei is an aspiring bilingual writer, translator, and poet. His first book, Akharin Arghavan (The Last Redbud) was a science-fiction novel published in 2021. Club Bordeaux published in 2024 was his debut in poetry. His style of writing tends to be extremely thematic with great attention to detail, and his works are mostly centered around very specific real-world places.
