Coastal use and management in the Mediterranean and Turkey

In the framework of the present PhD thesis, submitted to the Institute of Marine Science and Management, Istanbul University, a study was conducted on the management of coastal areas in some of the Mediterranean countries. This was then compared with the management of coastal areas in Turkey. The Sarigerme coast of Osmaniye village, Ortaca district, which is declared as a tourist area by the Ministry of Tourism, was studied in detail. A new model was proposed based on an implementation study on the integrated planning of the Sarigerme coastal area.
