Codes on Periodic and Solid Burst Errors

The main purpose of the book is to study necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of linear codes that are capable of detecting/correcting/locating/blockwise correcting periodic and solid burst errors. This book will give idea about how to construct linear codes for the purpose of detecting, correcting, locating and blockwise correcting different types of errors, mainly periodic and solid burst errors. Construction of codes with good efficiency is one of the main task in coding theory. If the codes are optimal, we get the highest efficiency of the system. These things are demonstrated in the book.

Pankaj Kumar Das (P.K. Das) is currently a faculty member of Tezpur University (India) in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. He received M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree in Coding Theory from University of Delhi. His research interest is Coding Theory. He is the author of several papers published in reputed national and international journals.
