The author based the book on experimental and clinical research on coffee powder for wound management. Coffee is a widely consumed and very prevalent drink in the community worldwide and can apply as a representative of the vegetable known by the community as herbal medicine for the wound.Throughout history, which started a hundred years ago, the residents have used coffee powder to overcome open injuries. The long history of wound management using coffee powder have had practiced until modern times. Please do not put the knowledge in the museum as it will make local wisdom as traditional medicine and an intangible cultural heritage a passive and useless spectacle. Wound management using coffee powder counts the consequences of its application of generating new thinking (The New Paradigm) in wound management. It suits to be a substantial contribution to health development through real innovation and downstream of the research products.This book proves that coffee powder has an efficient, economic, deodorized effect and accelerates wound healing.

Born on January 26, 1947, Kuningan, West Java, Indonesia. Professor of Surgery at Univ. Padjadjaran, Hasan Sadikin General Hospital, Bandung, as Surgeon in 1985; PhD program at the AMC - Amsterdam Univ. 1985-1988; Vascular Surgery training at Leiden Univ. Medical Center 1988-1990. Retired Feb. 1, 2017, continues teaching in Univ. Islam Bandung.
