It addresses a part of the reality that the post pandemic Covid-19 society faces globally and locally; in the search for a possible impact on children born in pandemic, through the practice of non-clinical evaluation proposes to diagnose the development of the cognitive area of children born in rural communities in the province of Imbabura in 2020, applying the Battelle Inventory, in the version Test Screening (TS) subareas: Memory, Conceptual Development and Perceptual Discrimination, items 85, 86, 87 and 88. Methodologically, a documentary review is carried out, the TS is applied, obtaining data through observation of the total population, these are subjected to statistical analysis from which results are obtained that allow concluding the existence of high probabilities of a delay in cognitive development in early childhood post pandemic.
