Cognitive Radio CDMA Networking with Radio Resource Management

The book contains an excellent detail of Cognitive Radio CDMA networks. The book explores the area of the application of cognitive radio concept to CDMA based networks. The book mainly focuses on the application of radio resource management techniques such as beamforming, power and rate control, packet combining, forward error correction in CDMA and cognitive radio CDMA networks. The book may be divided in two parts. First part considers performance evaluation of CDMA cellular networks in reverse and forward link. Second part considers several issues in evolving cognitive radio CDMA networks. A number of CR-CDMA networking models have been proposed in this book. The book contains a number of performance evaluation frameworks for CR-CDMA networks. Spectrum sensing, cognitive radio, heterogeneous networks, truncated power control, truncated ARQ, variable packet length have been considered in this book. Sanjay Dhar Roy received his Ph. D. degree in Engineering from NIT Durgapur in 2011. He is currently an Assistant Professor at NIT Durgapur, India.
