This book explores the evolving landscape of translation through the lens of collaboration, investigating how digital platforms, generative AI, immersive technologies and virtual reality are reshaping translation and interpreting processes, creating also new forms of collaboration and human-machine interaction. It presents theoretical insights, case studies and practical approaches that highlight the new roles of professional translators and interpreters in shaping new meanings and dynamics across languages. By addressing issues such as quality, transcreation, ethics and technology, the authors provide a comprehensive framework for understanding collaborative translation in new contexts where human professionals and technologies cooperate to support human activities. The work also reflects on future challenges and opportunities, advocating for inclusive, adaptive, and ethically grounded translation practices.
