The status of girl students and their education has evolved over the years. A lot of work has been done during various five year plans in this regard. Economically challenged girl students are considered to be At-risk students. They would be the first to drop out of college in case of any exigency. Special efforts are being carried out by colleges for economic development, social up-liftment, spiritual development, physical and mental development of economically challenged girl students. Are the colleges doing enough in this regard? What activities are colleges doing for reducing the drop out rates of these "At Risk" students?
