Collocation in Non-native English
Details
This book describes the collocational errors in the writing of non-native learners. It provides an insight into how the context of second language affect the way ESL learners write. The book is an essential reference for ESL teachers as it will help the them to see the need to concentrate on the remedial teaching of the specific types of collocations with which the learners may have difficulties. It will also be a useful resource for curriculum developers and policy makers on ESL pedagogy, as it will sensitize them to the properties of English lexis that non-native learners need to learn if they must use English effectively. ESL learners at different levels will also benefit immensely from the book as it will help them to be aware of their potential errors, the source and how to avoid them.
