One of the major areas of development in I.C.E is the development of computer simulations of various types of engines. Their economic value is in the reduction in time and costs for the development of new engines. Computer simulations of I.C.E cycles are desirable because of the aid they provide in design studies, predicting trends, serving as diagnostic tools, giving more data than are normally obtainable from experiments, and helping to understand the complex process that occur in the combustion chamber. Predictive computer models of engine processes are valuable tools for analyzing engine performance, exhaust emissions concentrations and allow exploration of many engine design alternatives in an inexpensive fashion. This book will be useful for postgraduate researchers, engineers seeking combustion processes modeling and simulation in spark ignition engines.

He received his Bs.C. in power Mechnaical Engineering from Zagazig University, Egypt. He got M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in power Mechanical Engineering from Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt.
