Common Bivalves in Bohol Philippines

The book is a field guide of common bivalves found in the intertidal areas of Bohol, Philippines. A total of 35 species of bivalves were documented in this book with photographs of actual specimens. Order, Family , and scientific names of bivalves are provided with their distinguishing characteristics. This is a practical guide for field sampling and easy identification of different bivalve species. This will provide basic knowledge for students researchers , environmentalists, and related field researchers . This will also serve as baseline data for conservation of these diverse species.

The name of the author is Margie Vito-Avenido, an alumnus of University of San Carlos where she took up her masters degree in Biology in the year 2015-2017 as a DOST-ASTHRDP scholar. Presently, a faculty of Bohol Island State University Clarin campus in the Environmental Resource Management Department.
