Communication and Collaboration System

The communication and collaboration system is a fast, secure and distributed based instant messaging and file sharing system that can handle multiple users concurrently. The purpose of the system is to facilitate communication and collaboration among staff at the central library of the university for development studies within the local area network (LAN) with or without Internet service by way of instant chatting and file sharing. The system is composed of a client/server combination that enables users to chat remotely. It is entirely built by the use of java technology and consist of two parts:UDSLib ComLive-Client (client application) and UDSLib ComLive-Client (server application)
