This book concerns Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in the EFL classroom and focuses on the belief and attitude of EFL teachers towards CLT. It discusses the general features and scope of CLT but centres around the role of attitude and belief of EFL teachers to implement CLT in the classroom. It clarifies how the application and outcome of CLT could be different from one context to another by providing examples of some Asian EFL countries. Finally, the book presents suggestions and recommendations about how well CLT could be applied in EFL classroom.

Md Rafiqul Islam is a Lecturer in ELT (0n-leave) at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology in Bangladesh. Presently he is working in China as a Foreign Expert of ELT. He obtained Masters in ELT from University of Brighton & MPhil in ELT from De Montfort University in UK. He is interested in theory practice, design & curriculum innovation.
