Community Insights of the Namibian Defence Force

a. Introduction to the Problem: Over the past 27 years, Namibian Defence Force was welcomed by the republic for own security with the view to ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. The Namibian citizens, however, are assumed to have never been tested for insights concerning the NDF. b. Abstract: The objectives of the study were to perceive the roles played by the Namibian Defence Force in promoting community trust and the problems it faced in promoting this confidence, to evaluate the insights and understanding of the civilians in the Khomas Region concerning the roles of the Namibian Defence Force in promoting community self-confidence, through national development, and to recommend actions needed to overcome the well-known problems and build a positive image in the community. c. The target groups: Once completed, this book will benefit not only the researcher and the Namibians, but also useful to professional in security agencies, international bodies, democratic national governments and various institutions within the country such as national legislation bodies, defence and security sectors and educational institutions.
