Comorbidity of arterial hypertension and chronic venous diseases
Details
Arterial hypertension (AH) today remains one of the most urgent scientific and practical problems due to high morbidity rate, high frequency of cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and renal complications, which are recognized as the main causes of mortality in the Russian Federation (1, 7, 82). Comorbid pathology in AH to an even greater extent increases the risk of complications and mortality, which in turn causes an additional increase in socio-economic losses for both society and the state as a whole due to loss of ability to work and disability, costly diagnosis and treatment (66, 76, 127). Of particular importance is the comorbidity of AH with chronic vascular diseases, if we consider blood vessels as one of the main targets for AH.
