Comparative analysis of paracetamol dissolution in Bukavu/RDC
Details
Paracetamol, a drug commonly used worldwide, was chosen as the subject of this research. The objective was to assess the compliance of New-Cesamex generic tablets, sold in the city of Bukavu in the DRC, with the Doliprane® brand, particularly with regard to paracetamol content and dissolution profiles. The results showed that the generic tablets met quality standards, with full compliance with the study criteria, indicating a significant improvement in the quality of medicines on the Congolese market. The production of generic medicines, such as paracetamol, also raises environmental and sustainability issues. The manufacture and distribution of these products have a direct impact on natural resources, energy consumption and chemical waste management, particularly production and packaging residues. The study also highlights the importance of post-marketing surveillance and strict regulation of medicines to ensure their quality and prevent the circulation of substandard products.
