Comparison of ABC and Existing Costing Techniques

Today the cut throat competition among Commercial Banks has made profit maximization and cost minimization as their top priority in Pakistan. The author elaborates the prevailing costing techniques used by key commercial banks and brings to light, the use of activity based costing as a management accounting tool to find out the true cost of a commercial loan, aiding the bankers in accurate investment analysis and efficient decision making.
