Comparison of Cognitive and Language Abilities of Preschool Children

This book has investigated the cognitive and language abilities of ICDS (anganwadi) and non-ICDS(nursery schools) children.It is descriptive study of preschool children and their comparison on cognitive and language abilities. Preschool years are the crucial years for learning when the child's brain is growing and developing. Preschool children are those children who are under the age group of 3-6 years, so appropriate and nurturing environment during this period reap a lifelong benefits as the children develop self worth and host of new skills that will serve them for life time. It explores the various factors which could help to support their developmental domains in a holistic manner. As preschool children are future assets of nation so their development should be given paramount importance. This book is useful for research scholars and educational planners to improve the quality of preschool education imparted at anganwadi centres so that the developmental outcome of ICDS children are at par with other nursery school children.
