Comprehensive frameworks for medical equipment management

Throughout the medical equipment life cycle, hospitals need to take decisions on medical equipment management. This covers issues like acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of medical equipment based on comprehensive and reliable information. In fact, acquisition, preventive maintenance, and replacement of medical equipment are considered the key decisions of medical equipment management. A properly planned policy for these issues is a key part of medical equipment management. In this book, we focus on how to develop a comprehensive framework individually for acquisition, preventive maintenance, and replacement of medical equipment considering a set of criteria that impact the decision making to improve the management system of medical equipment

Neven Saleh. received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Mansoura University, Mansoura, Egypt, in 1999. She received the M.Sc.degree in Systems and Biomedical Engineering from Cairo University,Cairo, Egypt in 2011. She received the PH.D.degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy in 2014.
