Computational Intelligence in Network Intrusion Detection System

This book objectives is to outline the idea of network intruder discovery in Intrusion detection system (IDS). It presents a solution to the problem challenges of data dimension and detection of network intrusions. The solution described in book can be summarized into two direction:(1) Proposing four hybrid anomaly Network intrusion detection models, and (2) Proposing a new feature selection approach "Bi-Layer behavioral-based feature selection approach".

Dr.Heba Fathy Eid received her MSc degree 2009 in Distributed distributed database systems and PhD degree 2013 in Network security,both from Science Faculty,Al-Azhar University,Egypt. She is currently Assistant Professor at Al-Azhar University. Her main research interests are in the areas of machine learning, intrusion detection and cheminformatic.
