Computational Intelligence (CI) is an exciting new area of research. There are several techniques being researched in this book were used Fuzzy Theory, Decision Trees and Neural Networks. The three techniques have been employed successfully in several applications in the areas of automation and control, pattern recognition, speech recognition, fault detection, classification, among others. The Fuzzy Theory can also be incorporated into decision trees, increasing their representation power and applicability. The neural networks have shown great results in the learning of functions and classification problems. This book show the application of three techniques for Intelligent Computation in glass manufacturing processes.

Autorentext

Herbert R N Costa is an electronic engineer and master electrical engineering from the University Center of FEI. His is PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo. He worked as electronic engineer in the areas of automation, electronics and telecommunications. His is currently professor of the University Center of FEI.
