Computed Tomography For Maxillo-facial Imaging: The Journey So Far

CT is a very useful tool for the assessment of various pathologies of the maxillofacial region. CT is the most commonly used imaging modality because of its wider availability, easy access, lower cost, and potential to offer greater anatomic detail. This book describes the application of CT in the detection of a number of maxillofacial pathologies including cysts, tumors, inflammatory conditions, and fibro-osseous lesions as well as the utility of CT in maxillofacial trauma patients.
