Research suggests that computers can play a significant role in all areas of the development of young children. While computer technology s potential developmental gains in children are well documented, they may fail if not appropriately used. Computers and other technology tools that are not developmentally appropriate would not be beneficial to children. In fact, it could even be detrimental to the process of learning and development. Therefore, the purpose of this piece of work is to shed some light on how we utilize computers appropriately to enhance young children s learning and development, especially the development of creativity. This research work examines the effect of using developmentally appropriate software on young children s creativity. With detail findings and discussions included, everyone and anyone who has daily encounter with young children would benefit from reading this book.
