The book contents provide the concise method to determine the water quality. Principally,there are two types of properties of water, physical and chemical. The physical parameters are pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total solid (TS), total dissolved solid (TDS), total suspended solid (TSS), odor, color, turbidity and temperature. The techniques to determine the physical parameters are described shortly. The chemical parameters that are alkalinity, hardness, chloride, residual chlorine, sulphate, dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), nitrate, phosphorus,iron. The determination of chemical parameters by chemical and spectrochemical method are described briefly.Biological characteristics,particularly, total and fecal coliform bacteria determination process is mentioned.There is a table of standard value of permissible limit of different composition of standard water that is given by WHO.It will be concise method for reader about water.If there is any wrong information, I apprecite your feed back for future.
