Lecture course section "Concretes" is composed of review lectures, using the recommended literature. As a result of studying the section, the student must: -know the classification of concretes; -materials for the preparation of ordinary (heavy) concrete; -basic properties of the concrete mixture and concrete; -peculiarities of concreting in winter time; -special types of heavy concrete. The main task is:familiarizing the student with concretes, which are classified according to the following main features: by purpose, by average density, by type of binder, by type of aggregates, by structure, by curing conditions. Methodical instructions are compiled in accordance with the approved program for the subject "Construction Materials" for students of construction specialties.
