Conditions of Habitability
Details
This research focused on analyzing the quality of habitability in the neglected settlement of Nadine Heredia, located in the Shilcayo Band. This area has expanded rapidly without adequate planning, which posed significant challenges in terms of infrastructure, basic services and living wellbeing of its inhabitants, resulting in scarcity and precariousness of services in housing and living conditions. The objective of the study was to describe the living conditions in this settlement, evaluating aspects such as housing, access to basic services, health, education and security. In addition, we sought to understand the impact of this informal urban growth on the living wellbeing of the residents, considering their own perceptions of their environment and living conditions.Based on the findings, similar situations were investigated and their recommendations for restoring the living and housing situation in similar areas were analyzed. In this way, the project sought to contribute to the improvement of habitability in the Nadine Heredia human settlement.
