Confucianism and Contemporary English Talents Cultivation in China

The purpose of this study is to discuss the theory and practice of Confucianism in the training of English majors under the guidance of the new National English Standard and the Teaching Guide. Firstly, through reinterpreting the traditional Confucian thought, we can make it more in line with the needs of the current era and social reality. Then through the possibility and scientific discussion of the combination of Confucianism and English major talent training, we find the effective way to combine the two, and explore the practical teaching methods; Then, according to the requirements of the new Teaching Guide, it demonstrates the form of integrating Confucianism into the teaching of specific classes, and makes a statement according to the specific courses. According to the requirements of "National English Standard" and "Teaching Guide", combined with the connotation and extension of Confucianism, the "Training Plan for English majors" has been revised, which highlights the concept and value of Confucianism. Youguo Duan, an associate professor in the School of Foreign Studies, Yangtze University, is teaching Buisness English writing. Meanwhile, he is interested in the study of linguistics, Chinese traditional thoughts, foreign language teaching and learning.
