Congruence Between Higher Education Preferences and Manpower Demand

Career counseling is a major function of a guidance program of the university, which is given to senior high school students. Likewise, a university, such as Aquinas University of Legazpi, Philippines needs to track higher education preferences of senior students in its service area for the purpose of curriculum development and the like. This book reports the research findings of Dr. Susan Bobadilla, which was partly based on a previous study of Dr. Bernaldez when he was Dean of the College of Business Administration at Aquinas University. The book analyzes the congruence between the higher education preferences by senior students in the province of Albay, Philippines with manpower demand in the province. School administrators, guidance counselors, teachers and parents will find this book helpful in student services and development program planning and implementation. Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Bernaldez is currently a professor at the Dongguk University Department of Public Administration in Gyeongju City, South Korea and on leave from the Aquinas University Graduate School, Philippines. He is a Doctor in Political Science and Doctor in Business Administration and holds four Master's degrees.
