Coning in Bottom Water Supported Reservoirs

This book is a research work that focused on coning in petroleum reservoirs. It gives an in dept understanding of water and gas coning mechanism and the factors that promote this coning in most petroleum reservoirs. A model based on Ozkan and Raghavan 2009 flow potential model, was developed to address breakthrough time for most of these gas and water coning, particularly in bottom water supported reservoirs.Simple predictive correlations have been developed in this book to make quick forecast of coning issues during productions of bottow water supported reservoirs.

The Author, AMAARFIO Eric Mensah had his B.SC in Chemical Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technolgy, Ghana and his masters in Petroleum Engineering at the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Nigeria. Currently, a PhD candidate with a special interest in drilling fluids engineering.
