Conselling services in public universities in Kenya

With so much misunderstanding about the role of counsellling in our public universities, it is no wonder that so many scholars and parents are concerned on how to nurture young adults faced with many social challenges and expecations in order to become relevant in the society. The author draws from her experince as a student counselor as well as her research to offer guidance on how counselling services are a viable avenue of addressing challenges faced by young people today. Young adults are at crossroads on issues such as relationships, financial management, adjustment to different environments and maintaing focus. The book offers practicle advice on how to address these pertinent issues.

The author is a licensed student counselor with a Masters of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Moi University, Kenya. She is a part time lecturer in Psychology, a member of the university counselors association and Kenya association of professional counselors. Married to Martin and mother of five grown children residing in Nyahera Kenya.
