Consequences of non-compliance with family assistance

Non-compliance with family care is a problem that persists in many societies. This happens as a result of the irresponsibility of parents and family members in leaving children, pregnant women and the elderly unattended. Family care is a right of children and it is an obligation of parents to provide for all needs. States, societies and families must guarantee and protect these rights enshrined in their Political Constitution of the State, always looking after the interests of children and people who belong to the most vulnerable group within a society. Persistent non-compliance with family assistance violates the right to an adequate life. This restricts various rights such as the right to food, clothing, education and recreation. In order to enforce this obligation, coercive measures, which are established by law, are activated.
