Conservation of Kampong Ayer as a Living Heritage under Brunei Law

The book revolves around the notion of conserving a living heritage while ensuring that the inhabitants are not restricted by their lifestyles under the domestic legislation, Antiquities and the Treasure Trove Act 2002. The authorities believe that conserving Kampong Ayer under the stated legislation will inherently take the right to evolve away from the inhabitants, therefore, the research conceptually analyses the concepts of living heritage and its global application with a drawn focus on the relevant features of culture, tradition and history of the water village for application of the legislation and subsequently conservation.
