In India, the large majority of construction still happens with manual efforts that neither guarantees economy of construction, nor of its quality. With the boom in Indian economy, there is tremendous demand for development of infrastructure to meet the needs of growing economy. In fact, apart from the growing volume and size of infrastructure projects, the rising labour cost is considered one of the major factors forcing the industry to look for alternative approaches. The construction industry that had been traditionally conservative in accepting new technologies, is now increasingly adopting mechanized construction. The mechanized construction is aimed at to continue and complete a project at reasonable cost within agreed time schedule.
