Construction of p-Groups and Their Representations by Character Table

This book deals with representation of some p-groups using the character table. Conjugacy class of the groups considered were discussed with regard to their entries in the character table. Some of the entries are either complex conjugate or real valued depending on their conjugacy classes. Moreover, groups of order 2^n for 3 n 6 are non-abelian and not simple while group of orders n 2 are abelian. Groups Algorithms and Programming (GAP) version 4.4.12 was applied to validate of the results obtained.

Mohammed Ardo Mohammad was born on Friday January 1st, 1967, in Yimirdhalang, Kwaya Kusar Local Govt. area of Borno State, Nigeria. He received his BSc Mathematics from University of Maiduguri, Nigeria, MSc Mathematics from A.T.B.U., Bauchi Nigeria. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosopy (PhD) in Mathematics, at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
