The COVID-19 epidemic has caused significant disruptions in the retail industry and has expedited the ongoing shift towards internet commerce. This research investigates the factors contributing to and the consequences resulting from this transition. The year 2020 will be etched in the annals of history due to the profound impact of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on several aspects of human existence. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about lasting changes to the economy, rendering it unlikely to revert to its pre-pandemic state. The nation implemented a comprehensive lockdown starting on March 23rd. On 23 March, the commencement of the lockdown resulted in the suspension of a wide range of services and factories. In the present context, engaging in offline purchasing has become increasingly challenging and fraught with potential risks. The utilisation of online shopping will serve as a catalyst in enticing consumers to leverage the benefits of internet technology. Hence, it is imperative to comprehend the impact of the current pandemic on clients' online purchasing behaviour.
