Contemporary Perspectives of Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa

At present, the concern of eating disorders has been increasing during the last decades as the growth of this type of disease is increasing. This is largely explained by social pressure, since the valuation of a slender figure, that is, thinness, is in turn directly related to fashion. Most of the cases occur in young people, and more in women than in men. This affects them in a way that they feel the need to adapt to certain parameters or standards of beauty imposed by society, making them feel that they can be rejected by their social circle. The following is intended to learn more about the main risk factors that people with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa may manifest.
