Details

This book presents a short introduction to the historical background to the field, the state of the art and a brief survey of the available instrumentation and the processing techniques used. The following major areas of interest in synthetic, organic and medicinal chemistry are elaborated on: transition-metal catalyzed reactions, organocatalytic transformations, heterocyclic synthesis, and photochemical reactions. Finally, selected applications in industry are also discussed. With its ample presentation of examples from recent literature, this is an essential and reliable source of information for both experienced researchers and postgraduate newcomers to the field.

A comprehensive but compact overview on the existing literature in the field from the last 15 years, covering the beginnings and evolution of this area of research Quick reference guide for broad area of synthetic organic chemists with interests in new technology both at universities as well as in industry Easy to read work intended to inspire also newcomers to become practitioners Includes supplementary material: sn.pub/extras

Autorentext
Toma Glasnov is currently holding an Assistant Professor position and is the head of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Flow Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry (KFU-Graz). His research is devoted on the application of continuous-flow processing in the area of organic synthesis focusing on hazardous reactions, high-temperature/pressure syntheses as well as photochemical reactions, multicomponent synthesis and synthesis of biologically active molecules and molecular sensors.
