Contribution to the organization of mosques in Black Africa

Mosques occupy an important place in Islam. Places where group prayers are highly recommended, they are also places where the faithful can exchange ideas. However, a number of countries in French-speaking Black Africa have noted shortcomings in the way mosques are organized and run, the impact of Friday sermons on the lives of Muslims, the issue of space management, cleanliness, security and so on. This book lays bare these shortcomings and proposes solutions. It covers ten countries: Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Togo, Djibouti, Madagascar, Mauritania, Niger and Chad.

Der Autor ist Soziologe und Personalmanager und arbeitet als Berater für Organisations- und Personalaudits. Seine Aufträge führen ihn seit über zwanzig Jahren in zahlreiche Länder des französischsprachigen Afrikas. Als Muslim besucht er Moscheen und macht aus seinen Feststellungen Verbesserungsvorschläge.
