Cooperatives and Rural Development

In this book an attempt to examine the working of co-operative Societies from different dimensions. Keeping in view of the Globalization and Liberalization context, the present study adopted a micro analysis approach for gaining deeper insights into the role of cooperative sector in rural development. This book explains the use of cooperative credit, borrowing and repayment behaviour and the perceptions of the sample respondents of the PACSs. This book also identifies the impact of co-operative movement on rural development and the transformation of the living standards of the members of the Co-operative Societies under the area chosen for the study.
